Jive Rocked the Big Apple!
The first stop on the Jive Live Tour was the Big Apple! And what a way to start. This was top notch all the way. Like other Jive events, the best part, for me, has always been that the customers that take center stage. Sure, Christopher Morace, Jive's Senior Vice President of Strategy, presented in the morning, but even this presentation was interlaced with videos from customers. However, the main speaker was John Stepper, Manageing Director of Deustche Bank. He gave a killer presentation about the real, tangible value that Deutsche Bank is deriving from Jive. This drove home the importance of social business to running your day-to-day business.
Apps are everywhere!
Immediately after the tour, we had a reception with demo pod setup where we had Joey Levi and Ryan Ranis showcasing the Social Selling App from Appirio. This is a very nice integration with SalesForce that showcases the !App Experiences that was recenently announced (!App Experiences is here!).
User Group Meeting
In the afternoon, we had one of our Jive User Group meetings. The user group was great. Ryan Rutan, Jive's community manager, did a great job of putting it all together. John Stepper led the user group through 10 use cases that they are thinking about at Deutsche Bank. AWESOME! He did a great job engaging the attendees, getting them to ask questions, and in some cases, being provocative. Universally, the comments I heard was that this was a great use of their time. Given how busy people are, there's not much higher accolade you can get.
Now it's on to the Windy City. See you in Chicago!!
